The Expo offers a great variety of seminars with local agents, directors, casting directors and other industry professionals -- with topics for novice actors and experienced professionals alike. Bab's Casting Mock Audition:
"How to Audition for Commercials" - Mock Audition with Barbara "Babs" Shelton. These are 20 minute group hands-on, practical educational sessions that include a mock audition.
PLEASE NOTE: these auditions are not for any project "Babs" may be working on. Each 20 minute sessions will include up to 12 people.
Here’s your chance to show your stuff in front of a selection of local film directors! Actors will perform short scenes/monologues for the group. Actors will be scheduled in 5 minute slots throughout the day in the CLASSROOM. There will be a check-in table just outside the door.
Each audition includes a 1-2 minute comedic, or dramatic monologue or two person scene. There will be no cold reads. If you can’t find a scene partner to work with please bring two copies of your script and we’ll have an actor on hand to read with you. Actors may be asked questions during their audition.
Meet & Greet w/ Agents:
These brief “meet and greet” sessions are not designed to be interviews for representation. This is your opportunity to meet representatives from the agencies submit your headshot / resume. Please bring enough headshots and resumes to share with each agency. The agents will review your materials and will contact you if they’d like to schedule an interview for representation.
